I have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for Grant's coaching skills. I met Grant in 1997 and we have stayed in touch regularly. Grant was the reason I ran the Boston marathon twice. He also inspired me to keep my training effortless. Very soon I shall run my 100th marathon and Grant's training has kept me healthy and vitalized. Grant makes all his clients feel good about themselves, simply because he cares, and matches them individually where they are at.

Before I started training with Grant, I would push myself as hard as I could every workout and never seemed to get any faster. In fact, I was getting slower, getting more frustrated, injured more frequently and I did not enjoy training or racing anymore. Three years ago, I started training with Grant and everything changed for me. Grant taught me to train more effortlessly and to really listen to my body. This did take me a little while to understand - one could train easier and not have to go all out 100% of the time. Now, I train longer, do not feel tired and feel more energized after each and every workout and I actually look forward to the next one. All of my race times have improved more than I could have ever imagined. I have set all new personal bests in all of my triathlons and running races. Something I never thought I would ever do. Grant has helped me take my training and racing to new levels I thought I would never be able to reach. Grant and all of the members of the Vitalize group are so supportive and encouraging. I am proud to be part of this incredible group of individuals.
Grant designed a training program to meet my goal of improving my marathon finish time while running injury free for another 20 years. With his help, I improved my marathon time by 90 minutes and had a series of personal records. Grant is a teacher at heart. I now have an entirely different and much healthier approach to my training. I focus every run on time and heart rate rather than pace and distance. A successful run is now determined by how well I keep my heart rate under the target for that day. Since working with Grant I have run thousands of injury free miles and adjusted my thinking about training to keep me that way.
Ahhh … the great feeling of finding an amazing coach. All I can say is thanks so much Grant!
I re-learnt how to swim with Grant. Lost all my fear of water. I started with the basic TI class and in only 6 months I was enjoying myself swiming in open water.
Next thing I know … I completed a half ironman, with my biggest accomplishment not being the ironman itself but the fact that I didn't impact my family time or my work in order to achieve it.
