Brick workouts for triathletes refer to training sequentially from bike to run with minimal or no interruption in between, just as you would do in a triathlon. This class will allow you to practice transitioning from bike to run and to devlop your pace for both events. For winter we have selected an indoor location for the bike portion of the class where bikes can be kept while we utilize the outdoors for the run. In the spring we shift outdoors combining various intervals of bike and run together so you can develop ease and flow getting on and off your bike to run.
Spring/Summer Class: Wednesday evenings, May 2 - May 23 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm
May 30 - July 25 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: North Glenmore Park, parking lot F
Fee: $240 for full session, $25 per drop in, Vitalize members 50% discount
Equipment: You'll need your bike, cycling and running gear, water and some food
Agenda: The class emphasizes aerobic pace training, education while on your bike, and the practice of transitions from bike to run
Format: 90min total workout with various unique combinations of bike and run intervals
